This morning, I decided to keep a personal blog. I am on day six of a 50-day fast. This is a personal journey. One that I have decided to take to become closer to God and to find my true self. I want to find happiness and peace. Three years ago, I was very close to my ideal weight. Honestly, I was four pounds shy of reaching 180 lbs., my mark for a 100-pound loss. So, yes. Before my first attempt to lose weight, I weighed 280 lbs. When I began that journey, I had the number "280" tattooed on my upper left arm. It serves as a reminder of where I have been. As I reflect, I ask myself what happened. How did I go from a person who worked out everyday along with counting calories to a person who did absolutely nothing? How was this remotely possible?
